Recently, the Next G Alliance published the technical report “Channel Measurements and Modeling for Joint/Integrated Communication and Sensing, as well as 7-24 GHz Communication”.
This report introduces Joint Communication and Sensing (JCAS)/Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) channel models with highlighting the modification of channels in new mid-band spectrum between 7 and 24 GHz, which has been considered to play a key role in 6G deployment.
Keysight channel sounding solution was chosen as one of the test solutions to perform the channel measurement and modeling in 7-24 GHz frequency. Solution includes:
- M9384B or M9484C VXG
- N7608C Custom Modulation Signal Studio (for channel sounding stimulus signal generation)
- UXR0252AP UXR Real-time Oscilloscope
- 89600 VSA software with 89601CSDC Channel Sounding measurement option
It demonstrates the full channel sounding measurement capability with Keysight hardware and software for early 6G customers in the new mid-band frequency.
The Next G Alliance is an initiative to advance North American wireless technology leadership over the next decade through private-sector-led efforts.
